Governor demands plan for medical marijuana ( Richardson )

Governor Richardson is ordering the state Health Department to move ahead with planning of a medical marijuana program.

That’s despite the agency’s worries about possible federal prosecution.

The department announced earlier this week it would not implement provisions of the law that call for the agency to oversee the production and distribution of marijuana ...

I agree with the health department. It is not their job and if Richardson wants them to do it then he should ante up the money, which I certainly don’t believe he will.

The truth is...that 40 percent of the public would approve of open marijuana use. If they could get all of the 18-21 year old’s registered...every single vote would go that way.
