Attorney Lee Thompson claimed Powell, a former state legislator, can't be impartial in the case because the judge once accused Tiller of "defying legal and moral authority" and called abortion "the slaughter of the innocents."

Oh, and what precisely does Tiller think these babies are GUILTY of?

If and when a judge who is pro-infanticide is appointed as presiding judge over this case, watch them say that just because he/she is “pro-choice” doesn’t mean that that judge can’t be impartial, revealing their hypocrisy.

"The judge also said that if Tiller's attorneys contended that he couldn't be impartial because of his pro-life views, they should also challenge any judge who has publicly supported abortion. "If having pro-life views would be grounds for recusal, having pro-choice views would be equal grounds for recusal," he said.

So a judge's belief in the sanctity of life DISQUALIFIES him??? Is this how low our nation has sunk?

“While I have no doubt of my actual ability to be impartial, I have to acknowledge that such comments do raise a question of the appearance of impartiality,” Powell added.

This is a simple case having to do with contracts between professionals, abortion is peripheral to it at best, no different than if this was about homeowners insurance and the independence of a roofing contractor who gives a second opinion on storm damage,,, when will conservatives grow some nads and not give the decision making over to the left, they have shown time and again that they have no scruples and are unfit for any level within the judiciary..
