"But in a society in which we dont want government running peoples lives," he said. "We should keep the government out of it. We should allow the mother ultimately to make those kinds of decisions." If he's so hot to keep government out of running people's lives, why did he run the lives of the thousands of law abiding NYC residents to whom his administration deliberately denied their fundamental right to self defense by refusing to process applications for gun permits without a justifiable cause or by needlessly dragging out the process until the applicant withdrew or abandoned their applications?
If what I have been told by a former NYC resident is true, if any part of the application has to be resubmitted for any reason the unjustifiably expensive application fee must be paid again. All this is unwarranted obstructionism that has undoubtedly been designed to cause applicants to give up in disgust, and that is probably why so many illegally obtained guns are found and seized by NYC police.
Legally owned and used guns are involved in only a relatively very few accidental or intentional deaths of innocent people each year in the US. But OTOH, American hired killers, aka abortionists, use scalpels, scissors, probes, suction tubes, chemicals and other utensils that would be right at home in a medieval torture chamber to murder 1,500,000 innocent unborn human babies in that same time period. So which group poses a greater danger to the lives of innocent human beings in the US, law abiding gun owners or hired baby killers?

Can you please list those candidates who have said they want to make abortion illegal?

Can you list the candidate that wishes to expand the despicable act of abortion to women using taxpayer’s money?

I'm anti-abortion -- look up all my posts for seven or eight years here and decide for yourself if you don't believe me. But if Fred Thompson doesn't pan out as a candidate, I'll gladly vote for Giuliani.
The President cannot make abortion illegal. It isn't within his power. I take Rudy on his word that he'll appoint strict constructionists to the Supreme Court and I believe that his economic and foreign policy ideas are solid.
Conservatives who proudly proclaim their refusal to vote for Rudy if he's the Republican nominee are throwing the unborn baby out with the bath water. I'm continually astounded at their holier-than-us willingness to put the country into the hands of the Democrats.

Meanwhile, Rudy goes dancing with the other female impersonators who like his views on abortion, and is admired by his inflatable sheep, "Rudybot". It seems sometimes that New Yorkers forget that they are hardly mainstream America. And, that if it sells there, it's just a matter of time before it's everywhere. Well, for the sake of this country's future, I hope "Rudy" never considered mainstream.

He's honest. That's a rare quality in a politician. I don't agree with his views on abortion but Rudy is entirely believable.

"We should allow the mother ultimately to make those kinds of decisions." The sad part is that he doesn't even understand the meaning of his own words here.

Actually Hillary isn’t dumb enough to publicly announce she supports taxpayers money for abortions, even though that’s what she would do, but Rudy, the answer to the original question, has come out and admitted that’s what he wants.

Can you please list those candidates who have said they want to make abortion illegal? Every GOP candidate EXCEPT Rooty. Now I realize that abortion is not important to you and most of the other anti-FReepers at MadmanIvan's WAnkerville, but it is to conservatives.

The President cannot make abortion illegal. It isn't within his power. I take Rudy on his word that he'll appoint strict constructionists to the Supreme Court I am unaware of ANY president in the history of this country who has knowingly appointed judges with basic principles that are totally contrary to their own. And Rooty has NEVER indicated that he would appoint judges who are pro-life

I wish he’d honestly announce why he hates abortion. Maybe he did and I missed it?
