Is there a harder job in America than being a miner?

Right now I can’t think of one.

Yes there are harder and less safe jobs. More truck drivers, and construction workers die yearly than coal miners.

Coal mining is dangerous, but today’s technology offers much more hope than in the days my grandpas worked in them.

The mining industry is highly scrutinized, and receives a lot of criticism because most folks don’t understand resource extraction —mining and logging are necessary for the way the world currently works.

I just tuned into this latest report, and it appears there has been another collaspe, and rescueers have been injured. We don’t know at this point.

Don’t blame the mine owners, I suspect he is doing everthing possible to save these men.

We need to just keep praying for all of these men and the rescurers right now.
