Two medical helicopters enroute to Utah mine after report of new collapse
(Excerpt) Read more at msnbc.msn.com ...
video was on Fox of that news conf (came on late, over now)
3 miners at Castleview Hospital. Some maybe sent to Salt Lake City. Castleview told maybe as many as 11 to be expected. No real news. May be back in about an hour with more news. Families are there in the cafeteria of the hospital.
Can’t really reveal much info. One injury there “very serious” - more serious injuries probably will be airlifted directly to Salt Lake.
Fox: now # is 10
11 injured now.
I suspect we will see poor Bob Murray at another news conference sometime tonite or early tomorrow. Geez, this might just push him over the edge. Talk about a string of bad luck. I hope the guy lives through it, considering his age. All that stress. Of course, the trapped miners’ families must be in a total tizzy right now, as well as the families of the rescue workers who have now also been injured. Talk about piling on. The mountain is getting its revenge for having its guts dug out every day.
“I see the owner as very caring, and exhausted.”
I’m sure he’s very concerned for the miners’ well being, but he also might be worried because three are reported to be illegals.
I agree so many today for every one to be polish to fit the image of the 30 sec sound bite kids!
He is dealing with many issues here!
His main concern is the miners but he also knows when this is over it will be another blow for energy source in America, and those who depend on affordable utility energy because the Dems want to shut down any energy source include drilling for oil!
This man in his 80s plus he dont need they money nor the headaches many families depend on this for a living.
There’s one injured landing at Utah Valley Regional in Utah County, and unconfirmed, one injured has landed at LDS in Salt Lake.
Okay, thanks everyone!
I think you are the first poster to bring this matter up......
THose two are in addition to the one in the air to Umed hospital in Salt Lake.
I imagine that’s why you see chain-link fencing all along the walls and ceiling. To try to hold back some of the debris shooting from the walls/ceilings during a bounce.

Correct,,,Nothing that they do will hold that mountain up at this point,,,the hole under it is just too big,,,
I see the owner as very caring, and exhausted.
Im sure hes very concerned for the miners well being, but he also might be worried because three are reported to be illegals.

Three of the trapped guys are illegals?
The owners’s butt should be in jail for hiring illegals.
How do you know they don’t have green cards??
Do you have a source for this statement?
I think he has a
gazillion-trillion more pounds of integrity than all the media put together.
This is a dumb question, I know. Can these “bumps” be felt outside the mine on the mountainor is it only felt if you were inside the mine/mountain?
That’s why I believe families haven’t been identified/interviewed, etc. They say some families don’t speak English.
If you google something like “illegal miners,” it’s there.
Did you not see his fit about the cause of the first collapse? He was pathetic.
= = =
I read it as very different
—HUMAN—
and pretty reasonably human given all the givens at that point . . . he’s coping with tons of intense conflicting priorities. I gather you are convinced you’d do better in his shoes.
I had heard that 2 were Mexican... nothing confirmed about their legal status.
Aren’t the miners unionized? If so, I hightly doubt they’d be illegal.
