Joe Scarborough has pulled back the curtain on the liberal bias at MSNBC, describing an incident in which newsroom people ceaselessly booed President Bush during a State of the Union address.
The revelation came on Morning Joe today at 6:02 AM EDT. Joe was discussing a recent episode at the Seattle Times in which reporters and editors cheered the news that Karl Rove had resigned.
Scarborough applauded Seattle Times Executive Editor Dave Boardman for issuing a memorandum reproving his colleagues.
Joe went on to describe a similar incident at MSNBC.
JOE SCARBOROUGH: There was a story out of Seattle, and the reason I love it is that it's transparency in the news. You have an editor who was actually outing his own people.
The Seattle Times newsroom broke into applause when Karl Rove resigned. And of course that's bad. What I like about it is that the editor actually wrote about it and went in and told the people in the newsroom that was unacceptable.
And I've got to say, my first night here at MSNBC was the President's State of the Union address in 2003, and I was shocked because there were actually people in the newsroom that were booing the president actually from the beginning to the end.
And I actually talked to NBC/MSNBC executive Phil Griffin about it, and he said "how was it last night?" Because he was the one that called me out of the Ace Hardware store, got my vest on. He said "how was it last night?"
I said "well, it's OK, I understand it's a little bit different up here than it is down in northwest Florida, but you had people in the newsroom actively booing the President of the United States.
Phil turned red very quickly. That didn't happen again.

I have no doubt that it happened, but it would have been better if he revealed that much earlier... and some people still don’t believe about liberal bias...
The Fourth Estate is a Fifth Column
Can I still say I hate these people?
The liberal’s hatred for Bush is a psychosis. Seriously, these people have gone mental.
There will be lots of us cheering the day the Seattle Times goes belly up, (a Liberal rag if ever there was one.)
That’ll leave you with the (shudder) PI... ;-)
BtD: Thatll leave you with the (shudder) PI... ;-)
Yup. But it will be one less rag to which I'm not subscribed.

Say WA? Evergreen State ping
FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this ping list.
Ping sionnsar if you see a Washington state related thread.
Seattle Times...only good for wrapping fish.
The P-I will go under first. I told a columnist for the Times (not too bad of a guy actually) that I long for the day when I see the P-I Globe resting comfortably on the ground in that park in Georgetown next to the old Hat and Boots.
He got a chuckle out of it and said something about, “yeah, were not exactly in a growth industry.”
I guess we all know what side these creeps are on, and it’s not ours! And these creeps are wondering why thier ratings are in the toilet. Their all hoping the fairness doctrine is put into effect so they can be government funded and not have to rely on the American public. True American patriots! dispicable un American scum!
Jerks. You lost, liberal guys and gals. Suck it up.
They make pretty good wine in Washington. That is, the people who work and actually produce something.
Who the hell boos a speech on TV?
I’ll admit when Clinton was in there, at his SOTU speeches I used to make sarcastic comments to the people I was watching with. But booing a television set? That’s goofy.
Un-professionalism and immaturity are the norm in the MSM today. And we are the worse for it.
Little did they know that Rove will wreck havoc on their vision of a Socialist State where Journalists share in Government policy and wealth transfer.
Hmmmm, Rove doesn't have a job he is committed to at this time.
With a mind like his, he's not going to just sit around the lake fishin'. Well not for long.
I am sure his Magnificent Bastardization Machine will get no cobwebs and he will be tinkering with it a lot now that he has a lot of spare time.
Heck look what he just did with it recently. He got the reporters and editors to cheer the news that he had resigned.
Karl Rove, still THE MagBas!
And not just wine. My employer makes a very fine product too, though it's not a consumer product.
