Tom McClintock notes Mike Genest, the California Finance Director, is cooking the state's books with accounting maneuvers and gimmicks that would make an Enron accountant blush. California is on the verge of insolvency. This merits a "Drudge siren" - unless immediate steps are taken to restore the state back to sound fiscal health.

The Modesto Bee didn’t dare print this in the print edition this am, instead, the put a little note on the editorial page directing readers the web site.
Why put it in print where 100,000+ readers can see it when they can cater to the 50 folks who visit their daily blog?
