The targetted gun dealers will be bankrupted by legal fees, in accordance with Bloomberg’s Vendetta.

",,,,used by local criminals to terrorize significant portions of the city's population." Why doesn't a significant portion of the city's population call 911?

A federal judge on Wednesday kept alive a lawsuit accusing Georgia gun dealers of illegally selling firearms that end up being used in crimes in New York City. When will New York City be sued for creating thousands of criminals every year and turning them loose on the United States?

This is a lawsuit against the guns, not the criminals who used them and through some strange reasoning the dealer where they were sold can be held responsible for their subsequent resell or ultimate use under the arguments in the suit.
What NY is apparently after is a trial on home ground where a ruling that specifically disallows any dealer from selling a gun that could through whatever means end up making its way to NY and causing harm or injury.
Since a long and arduous trip through the courts was decided that the gun manufacturers could not be sued, after Congress stepped in, notorious dealers (those whose sales appeared frequently as having been used in the commission of a crime) are now being made to pay for crimes of omission and a lack of intent through ignorance is to be shown as failing to exercise due diligence.
This ruling merely says that, in this judges reasoning, the law does not disallow the interstate nature of the suit.
If this ploy fails, the lawyers will come up with another way to limit or ban the sale of guns and, ultimately the possession of guns.

It is not about criminal activity, which is why they did not include or provide the info to the BATFE. It is all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

"If this ploy fails, the lawyers will come up with another way to limit or ban the sale of guns and, ultimately the possession of guns." Predictable as the sunrise, eh? The lawyers must know they never will achieve their goal but have found that continual attempts to ban guns on behalf of one organization or the other to be quite a cash cow, having more milk than a herd of Holsteins.

Apparently one has countersued NYC, for $400mm.
But yeah, Bloomie will use NY Taxpayers’ money to try to outspend them on legal fees until they cry uncle.

Not by a long shot.
The statement itself is bizarre: funneling large quantities of handguns to terrorize significant portions of the population! Very dramatic, and sounds like it was spoken by a politician rather than a judge.

This is more anti-American gun control Nazi nonsense
Real reason is that the politically correct are so afraid to admit that non-whites and non-anglos commit a large number of crimes. Blame the guns, not the criminals...the nonsense continues.
I hope GA gun dealers countersue NYC. Keep the Nazi stuff up north

Virginia took action in response to Bloomberg's stings in the Old Dominion with a law that went into effect 7/1/2007. It makes stings conducted in VA without VA or Federal law officers present a felony. Unfortunately, it's too late to stop NYC's past abuses from their effects already imposed on victims of prior stings. But, it will make sure Bloomberg's rogue officers have to follow VA and Federal laws in the future, not just pursue their flawed liberal suspicions and trick/frame VA gun dealers without any oversight from the people actually charged with enforcing VA gun laws, VA police. Hopefully, VA police will soon be turning some of these rogue officers into convicted felons, that is if Bloomberg doesn't heed VA Attorney General, Bob McDonnell's warning letter about the new law.
