While poking around the Yahoo! News Photos site, I did a search on the AFP's obviously unbiased photographer, Wissam al-Okaili, and found this photo among his portfolio. Get a load of the accompanying caption:

An Iraqi girl fills a pot with water extracted from the Diyala River nearby a garbage dump northeast of Baghdad, June 2007. As Iraqis queue forlornly for food and water, or swelter in homes and hospitals wihout electricity, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's coalition government is collapsing around him.(AFP/File/Wissam Al-Okaili)

Perhaps Wissam is working with Code Pink and the other insurgents in Iraq?

If water is so precious, how come she’s pouring that crystal clear prized fluid in to the dirt?

Wow, the water from the Diyala River sure is clean. And isn’t it convenient how they have set up a system for you to extract water from the river via water hoses.
