Gingrich was Speaker of the House. He had a solidly conservative majority. He could have passed or even attempted to pass legislation to overhaul our immigration system or build a fence along the border. He did neither. He sat back and watched illegals continue to come over and commit crimes against Americans and did nothing on his watch. He failed and has not earned the right to attack others over immigration.
