Read Newts votes on illegal immigration from post #35. Newt has zero credibilty to speak out on illegal immigration.Ok, so with what he said in the article is he WRONG? Are you saying now he shouldn't be on the RIGHT side of the issue because 10-20 years ago you disagreed with the way he voted?

90% of outstanding felony warrants for murder in Los Angeles county target illegal aliens.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Jose Lachira Carranza -- is an illegal immigrant from Peru who was on bail on charges of raping a child when the murders occurred. Illegal alien accused of raping a child is out on bail, but US Border Agents Ramos & Compean are in jail while their cases are appealed in the courts.
And Bush continues to refuse to do the right thing and pardon these men.

I fixed your sentence - Whatever he did NOT DO in the past, he sure is completely HYPOCRITICAL in this case.

I am saying he has no CREDIBILITY and NO RIGHT to condemn others when he sat idly by and watched and did nothing to stop or correct the problem.

Gingrich said that President Bush should call Congress back into special session for three days to pass a bill in honor of the slain students. That is the stupidest thing that I have ever heard of. I consider Illegal immigration a very important issue, but such a legislative act is a waste of time and energy. Newt is trying to push emotional buttons, that is the kind of crap Democrats look to do instead of building fences and enforcing laws. I have GINGRICH FATIGUE and this boy isn't even running.

I agree. Strange bed Newt is sleeping in and he thinks we do not notice? ;)

“Too bad when Newt controlled the House and had a strong conservative majority to pass legislation, he ignored immigration. It was not important to him when he was at the plate and could have done something.”
Maybe because back in the early 90’s the rest of the country, conservatives included, were thumbing their noses at CA, AZ and TX when we tried to bring the issue to the forefront.
Basically we were told, “It’s YOUR problem Californicators!”.
Chickens do come to roost. However, that is not reason to blame Newt specifically for something the entire nations was engaged in.

What did Bob Dole say about Gingrich for calling the republican candidates, pygmies? Something like “who made him the worlds spokesperson”. Dole has class, Gingrich does not. Gingrich is quickly becoming the rights version of Jimmy Carter.

You know what, I dont like that misdirection tactic when our side pulls it out of their -ss anymore than I like it when the Dems do. Illegal aliens are the target, pure and simple. Now lets get to work! Thank you!

Newt is right. He should be slamming that which is wrong. There are laws that are not being enforced. And only a bushbot would agree with President Bushes amnesty proposal.
BTW, do you know how Newt became Speaker? Ever heard of Contract with America?

What I think is cute here, is that it is generally those who hate to see the illegal immigration issue permiate other threads and always deny there’s any linkage, but here they seem perfectly content to take this thread off topic, and seem to think it’s a real winner of an idea to do so.
This thread was about illegal immigration. Why don’t you find something that Newt has done recently that is wrong and start a dump on Newt thread. Some of us would probably agree with you there.
To: AuntB
My pleasure. Hope all is well with you...
