He should remember the 11th comandment and go after Hillary with his silver bullet tongue.

He did. If you have seen him on Hannity FNC show yesterday he said that Hillary's "invisible" ad was "beneath contempt" and had a few other chosen words about her. Funny though, I can't find a transcript of that interview anywhere.

I think after his "liberal boot-licking" and "Clinton-loving" ways [that never were] he sounds more credible and can't be easily dismissed as just your usual right-wing rhetoric by the left. Or, maybe he is just pandering to the right to sell his books...

There’s truth in what you say about the Rs eating their own. In certain instances it bothers me too. The criticism should be fair. I step over the line sometimes. I get frustrated with conservatism taking the back seat these days, but I really do think it does.

One thing you have to say about our party, is that we have individuality. Each of us has a pretty firm notion of what conservatism is, and we’re willing to let our leaders know about it when they veer off the path. Outside of the maxist ratboy fringe, who does that on the left? They can’t even go after a guy who may have actually been guilty of treason (although the technical standard is pretty high) some will say.

Yes party and leader criticism is disconcerting you to and I at times. I will say though, I’ll put up with the uneasy feeling as long as I don’t have to turn away muted as people as criminally inclined as the Dixie Mafia Nephew and his fellow travelers were.

I tell you what, if I were in a position of power I’d at least listen to some of what my constuency was saying on certain issues. You touched on a very important one for me.

Thanks for your comments.

Too bad when Newt controlled the House and had a strong conservative majority to pass legisaltion, he ignored immigration. It was not important to him when he was at the plate and could have done something.

Difference was, jlooney, that Gingrich had Clinton to contend with. Bush had a huge republican majority between 2004-2006 and did jack sh**.

P.S.: Bush, as president, has more power to handle the problem than Gingrich did as one member of the house of representatives.

Bush is content to pimp amnesty bills.

TamponUser, Newt did not even try. If he cared so much about Americans being slaughtered by illegals, they were back then too, he could have passed legislation and fought Clinton on it, even if Clinton vetoed it. Newt did not even try. He DID NADA, ZILCH, NOT A DAMN THING. Newt cared more about chasing tail then trying to solve immigration tamponuser.

You are always hearing how illegal immigrants commit less crime to citizens. Well there are a hell of a lot more citizens (right now at less) than illegal immigrants. And really do we need or want more criminals?

So how does that play into the majority-hispanic prison population in California? Are they only victimizing their own???

The fact of the matter is - they are here illegally - as in, they BROKE THE LAW by just getting here. If they cared so little for those laws, then why should they care about any others.

Of course, it also helps when you define "commit less crime"... What is crime? If you are stealing from taxpayers by drawing/obtaining benefits that you don't actually deserve - you are stealing (which I am sure is not counted as "crime".

Good Lord, did everyone go on a bender this evening? Newt is right on target and the best many posters can do is trash him and leave the issue of illegals killing U.S. Citizens on the table.

Absolutely disgusting folks. Wake the hell up!
