I am sickened with Newt Gingrich. I guess that makes us even. HE spends more time attacking the right than the left. Newt you are a DISGRACE. Did Newt ever take a vaction when he controlled the House and NEVER passed immigration overhaul legisaltion? Guess it was not important to MR. Potato head Newt.

Some one enlighten me.. when Gingrich was speaker what legislation did he produce to build a fence, hire enough border patrol, allow agents to do interior searches, and did he go on August vacation with our borders as wide open then as now?

I’m amazed! Gingrich isn’t saying something totally stupid and out of touch with the conservative base!
Of course, in this case the the paper acts like the Newark killing is the only murder of young American’s by illegal invaders.

No he did not. I have been calling him on it on FR for some time. I am glad to see others remember what Newt DID NOT do.

He was too busy dumping Mrs. Gingrich II for Mrs. Gingrich III.

You want to give him a pass for his failings, I will not. He is a HYPOCRITE. Newt stood idly by and did nothing when he was running the House regarding immigration.

"The federal government's incompetence, timidity and uncoordinated efforts to identify and deport criminal illegal aliens have had devastating consequences for innocent Americans," Gingrich said, in a newsletter. It's not even disputable. The Feds have blood all over their hands.

Those are some good points you two make. I was amazed because Gingrich wasn’t touting Green Conservatism or praising Hillary for once.
I guess it’s like when a third movie in a series seems good because the second one was so bad, like Highlander 3 seemed good compared to the Green Conservatism/Hillary Love of Highlander 2.
Still, at least someone is pointing out that young Americans are being slaughtered by people that shouldn’t even be in this country.

I don't care what anybody thinks about Newt, he's completely right about this!
It's an outright travesty. Bush and all the pro-illegal immigrants deserve to be lambasted over this one!

There he goes again..
This- for example- baffles me:
Gingrich said that President Bush should call Congress back into special session for three days to pass a bill in honor of the slain students.
But then he says something utterly sensible and right:
In addition, it should withdraw federal aid from any city, county or state that refuses to participate in checking the legal status of arrested felons, Gingrich said

Too bad when Newt controlled the House and had a strong conservative majority to pass legisaltion, he ignored immigration. It was not important to him when he was at the plate and could have done something.

“As an American, I am sickened that the political leadership of America could continue to go on vacation and do nothing”
Sickened about covers it.
But, the President was raised by an illegal alien nanny and she was a really, really nice person.
