“At least 175 people have been killed in a series of suicide bomb attacks in northern Iraq, Iraq’s military says.”
Even if it turns out 30 dead Reuters and now the BBC can claim they got their info from “Iraq’s military” without giving out whom in the Iraqi Military gave them the info.
Death toll soars to 175 in Iraq suicide bombings

MSNBC repeating
When I saw 175 people killed in a neighborhood in Northern Iraq, I immediately had two questions come to mind.
1. How did a bomb kill 175 people in a neighborhood? Houses are too far apart for single blast, or even three for that matter, to kill so many. A market place maybe, but a neighborhood? I DON’T KNOW.
2. It seems too convenient that the number killed is 175 and 200 wounded. Why 175? It just smells fishy.
I could be wrong.

Dozens killed in suicide attacks in Iraq

“Three bombers detonated three trucks laden with explosives in three locations around 8 p.m., officials said.”
Kind of strange since Reuters reported this over 9 hours ago according to their own website but it’s 1:36 am now in Baghdad.
A few hours after an attack the mayor of a town get's to read Kurdish intelligence reports!!?? Even more so the area of the attack wasn't in Kurdish territory. This sounds like BS.
He’s police and not military.
Yep, that's what it says.
Iraqi army Captain Mohammad al-Jaad said at least another 200 people were wounded in the bombings in separate Yazidi neighbourhoods in the town of Kahtaniya, west of Mosul.”

Multiple sources are being cited in the various reports. We may never know the exact death toll. It’s likely that many of the bodies are not intact. And the Muslim custom is to bury their dead immediately, so many of the bodies may not be taken to a morgue to be counted.
Well I’m not familiar with Yazidi funeral traditions, but the victims weren’t Muslims, but as already said Yazidis, an ancient pre-Islamic religion.
Of course we’ll never really know just like we never really know about all these bodies dumped every morning in Baghdad that no one ever sees.
US military sources are saying they don’t believe anywhere near 175 were killed although they do confirm that the 30 known killed will likely increase.
Just heard on Fox News that the military is putting the death toll at 60.
