Someone is also busy editing the electoral map colors of pre-2000 election results. Per the National Atlas maps, they show one color, but this editor has taken the liberty to change the colors: 1996 U.S. Presidential Election

Oh, so now they’re changing history.

The bastards - here’s what’s up.

Red was used to represent the CHALLENGING party, Blue, the INCUMBENT party.

This changed in 2000. I guess the networks started getting a little uncomfortable with the association of the Democrat party with Communism and the color red, and decided to leave the GOP as the Red and the Dims as Blue.
