Joe Biden Says Democrats Have Been Too Fearful to Discuss Religion Monday , August 13, 2007

ADVERTISEMENT NASHUA, N.H. —

White House hopeful Joe Biden said Monday that Democrats lost the last two presidential elections in part because they let themselves be portrayed as anti-God.

Democrats have been too afraid to talk about faith, Biden said at a Rotary Club luncheon. But what voters really want to know is whether a president believes in something bigger than themselves and whether he or she respects the faith of others, he said.

So what he's saying is the Democrats support abortion, immoral marriages and anti-religious policies because they are afraid to speak out?! Does anyone else get the feeling he accepts no responsibility for his actions and the Democrat party accepts no responsibility for their actions? And just how does advancing sexual perversities to trump freedom of religious expression respect the faith of others?

Liberals hate Christianity and they are repelled by traditional values the way Dracula shrinks from sunlight. It doesn't occur to the Chia Head that just a week ago, most of his fellow Democratic presidential candidates saw nothing wrong in showing up at a homosexual-themed event. These people are to depravity what other people are to goodness. They are naturally drawn to exalt it.

They can sandwich in their religious beliefs between their arguments in favor of abortion and mercy killing...

Is it actually true that Republican presidential candidates are always going around talking about God, and accusing the Dems of being irreligious? Has Bush ever done that? Has Giuliani? Has Romney? Has McCain? Has Thompson?

It’s called “being convicted” - when you hear a Biblical truth and it offends you because you know you’ve failed that standard.

Very good thoughts there jacknhoo.
Gotta wonder how these supporters of abortion get away with it in regards to their churches.
Where is the Catholic Church when it comes to denouncing the Kennedys and Kerrys of this world?

To finish my thought, I think someone did a study and found that Bush had actually mentioned God in his speeches less frequently than Clinton.

What a liar! They’re not afraid to speak out. It’s just the fact that when they do, it’s invariable on the anti-religious side.

Why anyone would give Biden the time of day is beyond me.
He's your typical career politician, having been in the Senate right when he turned 30.

I agree. There's no reason Democrats should be afraid to discuss religion.

Now, Biblical Christianity — that's a horse of a different wheelbase!

The churches are cowering in fear of the IRS. If they ever spoke out against Kennedy, Kerry, et. al. the liberals would have the IRS on them in a New York Minute.

This is one way to look at it.

He is saying Democrats have been afraid to talk about faith, but what he really means (but will not say) is Democrats have been afraid to RECEIVE and EXERCISE faith.

Instead of me being quick to castigate them, easily done with their insane positions on abortion, gay marriage, etc. - I’d like to be quick to encourage them to talk about faith. The more it becomes part of their daily interaction, the more it will eventually wash out the crap like being beholden to the abortion lobby. Very soon they will realize, hey, this isn’t good for America, we need another direction here for women and children.

So the entire “Democratic forum on Faith” was a sham?

Say it ain’t so Joe..just say it ain’t so...

Democrats have had values labotomies, that part of their brain simply doesn’t function because it doesn’t exist in their thoughts or actions.
