He showed up to have sex with children. Thats why he killed himself.Your argument migth have more weight if it were at all accurate. The man had an online conversation with the "girl" where he (according to the show) set up a meeting. He never went to the meeting. So the TV crew packed up the cameras and went to his house.
At that point, only the statements of the crew allege any wrongdoing on his part (he never made the overt act required by the law in that area). In fact, considering the DA has thrown out all of the charges against the others, the word of the crew that he committed a crime (as opposed to them suggesting the meeting, etc.) is seriously compromised.
I'm a supporter of the death penalty for child molesters. But I do think in order to be a child molester... you kinda' have to molest a child or something...

Actually, they have to show intent to molest. This guy showed intent when he set up a meeting.
The English Dept here is catching flak. You were right about them

(If you aren't part of the solution, there is good money to be made prolonging the problem.)

A guy points a gun to your head, pulls the trigger, it misfires, he is charged with improper use of a firearm and released.
Do you have a good nights sleep that night?

Wait just a damn minute...this guy, a former prosecutor, was trying to pick up boys on the Internet. We can thank God that he snagged the NBC crew rather than a real kid. And you're argument is essentially "well, he's a wannabe scumbag, but he didn't get caught this time, so don't shame him". Do I have that right? That you think this pedophile should get a pass, should have been exempt from being put to shame in public because even though he tried to f*ck teenage boys, he didn't actually get one. So public shame is out, right?
