RICO Citizen Recourse
Private persons and entities may initiate civil suits to obtain injunctions and treble damages against enterprises that conspire to or actually violate federal alien smuggling, harboring, or document fraud statutes, under the Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO). The pattern of racketeering activity is defined as commission of two or more of the listed crimes. A RICO enterprise can be any individual legal entity, or a group of individuals who are not a legal entity but are associated in fact, and can include nonprofit associations.
Heres what Ive been pushing: its time to file Racketeering, Influencing, and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) lawsuits.
RICO lawyers could turn it around in a few years and MAKE MONEY at the same time. Im surprised they havent done it already.
In the absence of enforcement, we can get the word out in the meantime that there is money to be made in filing RICO lawsuits against employers who hire illegal aliens like this scumbag.
Employers would have no trouble shutting down the border if they could get sued by someone under the RICO statutes for hiring these people in the first place. The next time an illegal alien kills someone in a drunk driving accident or somesuch thing, Im going to point out that the victims family might be able to seek compensation from the employer under these statutes in the hopes that it would catch on. If this did catch on, would see such a swift backlash against illegal immigration that no employer would go near these people and theyll all simply want to go back home.
I do love your thinking on that and fervently hope that a peaceful solution could be brought about through the use of the courts. I’m just afraid it’s far too late for that. We have probably 20-30 million people here who have come from Third World oligarchies and dictatorships where problems and differences are solved by means of either violence or bribery. If actions which would be effective in getting them gone were to be undertaken, the violence would be widespread. Don’t get me wrong, though. It would be a necessary violence. Made “necessary” by the years of our so-called “leaders” allowing things to go on unchecked.
Cracking down on employers would be good thing, but the subject of this article is really the number of violent criminals that are living here illegaly.
They don’t have law-abiding employers. They work for drug cartels, protection rackets, prostitution rings, car theft, gun dealing, etc. Criminal enterprises for whom lawsuits for assisting illegal immigration is the least of their worries. Of course, these are also the people most likely to “solve” their problem by killing off the people that filed the lawsuit or that would be witnesses in the lawsuit.
If employment in non-criminal industries (food service, construction, etc.) is closed to illegal aliens, there is a real danger that they will simply move into the criminal industries rather than self-deport as we’d wish.
So as attractive as the civil lawsuit approach is, we need the LEO crackdown as well. We need an effective fence, cops willing to get these people off the streets, heavily armed anti-gang units for the violent criminals, an ICE willing to deport them if they are not imprisoned for violent crimes, and a border patrol that can keep them from returning.
Makes too much sense, Kev.
Go a step further. File RICO suits against the city governments of the "sanctuary cities", as they are engaged in a deliberate pattern of violating and obstructing federal law.
