Rove won us the Presidency. Congress with their dismal approval ratings would take an act of God. It didn't help that the GOP gave the DIMS a target rich environment. I don't think Rove can be blamed for all that.

The reasons we lost (Foley, Allen, Abramoff) had nothing to do with Rove.
Unless, seriously, it was his responsibility to have a Republican internal audit group whose charter would be to PROACTIVELY avoid such debacles.

First of all, you are attaching too much blame to Rove for our losses.
Secondly, it should only be a temporary setback. The Democratic congresses are governing like buffoons. They are so far to the left that if we can’t win back the majority and win the presidency, we sure as hell can’t blame that on Rove.
Thirdly, 06 elections happened, it’s done, it’s time to get over it and get serious about the next elections. Learn the lessons but we need to quit dwelling on the past. We need candidates of good character, unimpeachable types. It’s hard to win running tainted candidates.
And last, history will be kind to both Rove and Bush.
