LOL...I spent two years as an Armor Lt. before my branch transfer to the MP Corps. As an M1A1 platoon leader I worshipped at the altar of St. George, and spent some time in the Court of King Creighton, both at Ft. Knox. If you've never been to the Patton Museum there, it's well worth the trip.
Likewise, a great book on the development of the Abrams Tank, from the days of the XMBT-70 on up is King of the Killing Zone by Orr Kelly.
