Titus knows the answer. There ain’t no THERE -— there!

Too bad we don’t have some other candidates besides Duncan Hunter who has nothing to hide.

I have a great boardgame called, “Balderdash”. You’d be good at it.

Too bad we don’t have some other candidates besides Duncan Hunter who has nothing to hide.

Of course he's got nothing to hide - he's spend 26 years in the House as a career politician hiding out in a safe re-election zone, supporting and voting for bills that benefit his constituents.

What's sad in all this is that I actually DO like DH. If he somehow wins the nomination, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat. In the primaries, he's my 2nd choice, and that's only because he really doesn't stand much of a chance of winning. Even when I talk with people who are more knowledgable than average about politics, the response I always get when speaking of him is "Duncan who"? It's important that the candidate be conservative, but it's also important that he we known and liked anough to be electable. Ignoring the issue of electability is like ignoring the issue of laying a foundation when you're building a house.

No, I like DH. What galls me is the way his supporters seem like they want to gloss over any and every question about their candidate that in any way appears to be anything other than abject hero-worship of the man. He's just a man, like anyone else. He can be questioned like anyone else. Sure, Duncanistas want to attack everyone eyse, but say a word about DH's record that doesn't involve building a wall or voting for umpteen billions for the armed forces, and suddenly they're howling about how unpatriotic it is to question DH.

But I think it is indeed fair to ask what, if any, links DH had to Duke Cunningham. After all, they WERE good buddies in Congress and in SoCal. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, but if its within bounds to suggest that FDT really just wants to sell the USA out to illegal immigrants because he's friends with John McCain, then it's equally fair to make an inquiry or two into DH's ties to one of the most corrupt politicians we've had since the Grant administration, doncha think? If nothing else so that DH can address it and put it to bed? Because, if we don't ask it now, Hillary WILL ask it, if DH manages to win the nomination.

It's fair to ask about FDT's former support for CFR, and it's fair to inquire about answers he gave about abortion a decade and a half ago. The questions were asked, and FDT has answered. If we're really serious about a candidate, we HAVE to ask all the dirty, nasty, embarrasing questions NOW. If we don't now, the Dems will later.
