Breaking story
In his hyperventilating speech he said both "radiation is high" and "radiation is normal".
A ratings-monger...nothing more.
That was my supposition. The box emitted high levels, they contained the box, caught the guy who was fleeing the scene, and now levels are normal.

Yeah, odd no see on FoxNews. They make a big deal out of nothing all the time. Given the dbomb alert context, seems like they’d jump at making something out of this nothing.
At one point he said, approximately, this box was emiting high levels of radioactivity...these high levels from the box are normal...
That clears it up.

If this was a legal medical source and otherwise not suspicious, then why would the driver flee? It was apparently a minor accident.
Thanks for posting these links. Weird how one post said it was a fender bender and someone ran off, and this one says 2 of the 3 are in critical condition and the driver of the truck is okay. Sounds like it would have had to have been the truck driver that ran off, if anyone actually did.

I believe the fender bender took place on Hoboken (according to the reporter). Maybe the major crash was a different accident.
