TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE (Lenora Fulani's attempt to repudiate past anti-Semitic remarks.)
NY Post ^ | August 12, 2007 | Masthead Editorial

Nice try, Lenora. But we aren't buying it.

In fact, anyone who thinks that odious hatemonger Lenora Fulani has had a genuine epiphany on the subject of anti-Semitism must be downright delusional.

While announcing last week that she wants to run for citywide office in 2009, Fulani thought to make some real news by reading a statement "repudiating" remarks she made in 1989 calling Jews "mass murderers of people of color" who'd had to "sell their souls to acquire Israel."

"The language I used was harsh, and today I would call it excessive," she said.

Which prompted the question: But was it anti-Semitic?

And wouldn't you know it - suddenly Fulani was dissembling.

"I guess the best way I know to answer is that I'm not an anti-Semite," she said.

Which hardly answers the question. Indeed, it's the exact same reply she's been giving for years - most recently in 2005 - when asked about those same remarks.

Back then, in fact, she even tried to foist the anti-Jewish remarks on her mentor and partner, Fred Newman, saying it came from a review of one of his plays and so "was an expression of Newman's views."

Some epiphany.

Besides, it's not like this was the only venomous rhetoric Fulani has spewed over the years.

She said the 9/11 attacks were caused by "our government's aggression and arrogance."

Her corporate-funded All-Stars Project - a personal favorite of Mayor Bloomberg and Sen. Chuck Schumer - put on a play portraying Hasidic Jews as the instigators of the 1991 Crown Heights riots. Fulani herself has called those riots, and the murder of Yankel Rosenbaum, "the first..."

--snip--

Sen. Hillary Clinton, to her credit, has always had it right about Lenora Fulani: Her statements, said Clinton, are rife with "anti-Semitism, extremism, prejudice and intolerance."

Referring to Hillary, I would call Hillary’s remarks “the pot calling the kettle black.”

"yup...just ask the piaps...about who gets to call Jews.....f’n jew bastards!!!!"

The real story if the MSM had any integrity is to investigate the dilemma Hillary has. To appeal to the anti-Semites in her party and her supporters at places like Daily Kos and DU. to hide her own documented anti-semitism. Yet appeal to the Jewish population who will still vote for her in droves.

Somebody should check Fulani’s background in NY leftist politics. Seems I recall that she was a buddy of Al “Shark Suit” Sharpton and possibly a Marxist named Fred Newman.
They had some kind of political alliance in the 90’s. Possibly called the “New York Alliance” and had a paper of the same name.

She has a leftist record so her conversion to anything other than worm food is suspect.

...and possibly a Marxist named Fred Newman.

Yeah, wasn't there a cult-like organization called "New Party" that they ran?
