This video, which I've heard is running on BET, is a sad testament to what much of the black community has become. The message is supposed to be a positive one, but it's anything but. One of the most disturbing things I've seen recently.
Sent it to Drudge, LGFB, and Michelle Malkin.
I do agree, satire nor not, it's appallingly crude and borders on the pornographic.

You pretty well beat me to what I was going to say. How in the world do they ever expect a civilized society to have any respect for people like that?
If they play this on BET, it must be one big BLEEP. How on earth can they get a message across w/ all that bleeping going on??

EXACTLY!.....ever since I read Thomas Chittum’s “Civil War II” I’ve had little doubt that the country will fracture along racial lines....race based wars of secession/partition are a global reality....why wouldn’t they happen here too?

African Americans, open your mind. This man is not offending us. He's smaking us in the face and saying Wake Up. This is what they think of us...and the reality is...most of it is true.
It's sad that so few FReepers seem to have the critical thinking skills to recognize this for what it it, or to even read the note posted with the clip.

But you’re suprised “so few” Freepers understand the satire? As stated above, by you, SATIRE OR NOT. I don’t care if it’s satire or not, it is disgusting. Blacks do more of a disservice to themselves than any “racist” could ever imagine.
To be fair, the video is described as satire on today’s rap music. If you can stomach it, watch the whole thing; he also advises blacks to drink water, wear deodorant, brush their teeth, and other very obvious things.

This is actually pretty well-crafted and witty satire:
Music is roughly based on Beethoven. And it includes a reference to “A Clockwork Orange”, and what exactly is being advocated?
1) Read a book.
2) Raise your kids.
3) Your body needs water (not just liquor), so drink it.
4) Buy some land, not spinning wheels for your car.
5) Brush your teeth.
6) Wear deodorant.
To have moral outrage over the foul language ignores that such language is typical of the low-rent rap music cranked out today, which the black community has finally agreed is gross, violent and tacky. In the last couple of years, it has dried up as a fad, and so is open to parody.
Years ago, on MTV, a prominent rapper did a different satire more in the style of rap videos of the time, in which the theme was his complaining about his small penis. It was both hilarious and no doubt personally very difficult to make, for obvious reasons.
But to assume that this was exploiting crudeness, rather than sneering at it, underestimates the ability of the artists involved and their personal revulsion at the low quality of rap music.
Don't forget your deodorant.
