Democrat Presidential Candidates in All-Gay-Issue "Debate"
By Hilary White
WASHINGTON, August 9, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Melissa Etheridge will be one of the questioners in what is being advertised as a debate on gay issues between front-runner Democrat candidates for President. The event will be televised tonight on MTV and is sponsored by homosexual activists.
Human Rights Campaign, one of the most powerful gay lobby groups in the world, is co-sponsoring the event that will air at 9 p.m. Eastern time and 6 p.m. Pacific. The homosexual cable network Logo, is the other sponsor.
Despite it being advertised as a debate, none of the candidates will share a stage in the manner of a traditional, open political debate, but will be questioned individually by panel members.
The questioners will include Washington Post editorial writer Jonathan Capehart and Etheridge will lend star power; but the panel will be led by Joe Solmonese, the president of Human Rights Campaign. No open critics of the homosexual activist agenda were asked to participate on the panel.
Only two of the candidates for the Democrat nomination, Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel, have publicly come out in support of "gay marriage," but all are known for their strong support of the broad goals of the homosexual political movement. All of the candidates support so-called "civil unions" that would allow homosexual partners to mimic natural marriage and enjoy the legal rights of marriage partners.
All the front runners for the Democrat nomination - Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama and John Edwards - will appear. Senators Joe Biden and Chris Dodd cannot appear due to scheduling conflicts. None of the Republican candidates accepted the invitation.
Some pro-family groups have responded by calling the scheduled "debate" a "sad spectacle".
Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth wrote today, "[L]et's not kid ourselves that America's trendy embrace (tolerance) of homosexuality and, lately, gender confusion, is not a serious sign of our moral and spiritual decline as a nation."
LaBarbera connected the rise of homosexual activism with the abortion movement that grew out of the same sexual revolution of the 1960's.
"Sure," he wrote, "compromised politicians and media groveling before a sin-based movement will evade, distort, water down, and outright lie about homosexuality, but does it really matter what they say? The same politicians and media have for decades cast the abortion debate as one about 'choice' - as if man, not God, has authority over life and death, and has some 'right' to consign innocent babies to a horrifying execution in the womb."
Ouch!
Oh boy, we got a bunch of queer loving politicians bending over backwards to kiss their................................never mind.
This time, they take a question from an animated GERBIL.
How do you fit 4 gays on a bar stool?
Turn it upside down.
This is what I think of the Rats and the Homos, a flipping joke, I’ll tell ya.
I don’t care who you are, that’s funny right thar.
