I’ve read everything on FR about Duncan Hunter since Jan. I haven’t seen anything like what you have described.

Perhaps you should read some threads about other candidates then, and see what the Hunter mob say about them, then. Most of the trashing happens there, not on Duncan Hunter threads.
 

What you call “trashing” is merely pointing out their shortcomings, and emphasizing the REASONS we should support Duncan Hunter.

How is questioning Rudy Giuliani's sexuality or Fred Thompson's character a genuine discussion of “shortcomings”? It's not, it's just trash talking.

Rarely do these comments even make mention of Duncan Hunter's merits. They're just hit and runs (but it's obvious the culprits are Hunterites by their taglines).

I would call voting for free trade with Vietnam which left OUR POWs behind a pertinent short coming, shouldn't you? I would call being a chair of a campaign of the man who SHREDDED the evidence of our POWs in Vietnam a frightening short coming for someone that was to be Commander in Chief of our Military.

You call that trash talk, I call it serious concerns.
