In my many years of watching politicians operate, I have never seen anything as disgraceful, but enlightening, as this “immigration reform” fiasco. Because it has convinced me, for good and certain, that our politicians are less concerned about this country and the well-being of its people, than they are about pandering for votes. In other words, it’s the politician’s interests first, not ours.

I’m in favor of term limits and restrictions on pork-barrel spending, as a means of removing the incentives to our solons to do this type of thing.

Absolutely! Plus make lobbying illegal, NO pension other than social security, NO special federal health care program, Medicare for one and all in retirement. No raises unless there are equal raises for the entire working population.

How can we get these changes as no politician in office is ever going to let go of the goose that laid the golden egg?

We are hog tied...it is like a catch 22.
