Judge Tries to Avoid Paying Legal Bills Of Cleaners He Sued Over Missing Pants

By Henri E. Cauvin

Washington Post Staff Writer

Saturday, August 11, 2007; Page B04

The Pants Judge wants to keep the dry cleaners he sued out of his pockets.

In a filing yesterday in D.C. Superior Court, Administrative Law Judge Roy Pearson said he should not be forced to pay legal fees to the dry cleaners he sued over a missing pair of pants.

A case that took nearly two weeks to decide could hardly be considered frivolous, Pearson said in a 65-page brief. The trial judge's written verdict did not take such a charitable view of Pearson's case, dismissing his allegations outright.

An order that Pearson pay attorney fees would be unusual, but the case against Custom Cleaners, a family-owned business on Bladensburg Road NE, was about as odd as they come.

Pearson said in a 65-page brief.

Whoa, 65 pages! He must enjoy wasting trees.:-)

I suspect that this man will continue to take one legal action or another even if they throw him into a jail. A classic looney-bin matgerial.

His ex-wife said that the guy has no life whatsoever...he just lives in the legal world and plays these games for the fun of it. I’m pretty sure that he will find the state bar on his situation shortly if he plays games with the judge. They don’t waste time with lawyers who don’t pay their legal bills.

Somebody needs to take this “judge” out behind the courthouse and give him a good working over with a baseball bat.

Not enough to kill him or injure him too severely, but just enough to let him know what we think about “judges” who clog up the court system with stupid useless lawsuits and then bitch when they lose.

This man needs to be removed from his judgeship job.

He’s clearly not competent.

‘good working over’

Not advisable. He’d mess in his pants and this crap would start all over again.

The linked story implies that he is in the process of being removed from the bench right now.

Did I read that right? It took 2 weeks to decide the case? Was it a jury? Why would it take that long to decide this nonsense case?

70 pieces of evidence, 2 day trial.

And time to come up with the 23 page decision issued by the presiding judge.

There are lots of judges that need a good working over to the point where they Have to retire to a home only to drool.

Think about it folks....

In WASHINGTON, D.C., the Nation’s capital city — this idiot passes the BAR, is determined competent to sit as JUDGE, and is appointed to JUDGE issues critical to other people’s lives....

Even AFTER his insane case made him the laughing stock of the nation, this moron PERSISTS to prove he’s a stupid, arrogant, disruptive scofflaw and certifiable asshole.

What has become of STANDARDS..
Has Affirmative Action flushed all other job requirements down the toilet?

Now all I need to hear is that this asshole has already earned a lifetime PENSION from the taxpayers....

"This week, the commission took a step toward ending Pearson's career as an administrative law judge, informing him in a letter that he may not be reappointed and that he is entitled to reply to the conclusions of the commission."

Now, I'm expecting a racial discrimination suit from this idiot AA judge. It has to be about race, right?
