All it tells her is more condemnation, judgement, shame and guilt.
To be fair, the target of this ad is not the women who have already gone through the trauma of abortion, but the women who may in the future.
That being said, the Pro-Life groups need a lesson in advertising. First you have to figure out the path you want your audience to take, and then tantalize them along the path. Information and shocking images to remind them of the wrong path are exactly the wrong thing. If the path is to adoption, then show the joys of a child growing up in an adoptive family. If the path is keeping the baby, then show the joys of motherhood over career or greater financial freedom. If the path is for abortion to not be legal, then money is better spent on lobbying.
The milk board keeps making the mistake of information over desire. The "got milk?" advertisements worked far better than the commercials about strong bones. Why? Because the commercial was engaging and left you with a desire for milk. In a way, the Pro-Choice side has their PR down far better than the Pro-Life side. People feel like they are doing a good thing for women by supporting legal abortion. Feelings are what drive the populace, and the Pro-Life side doesn't put feelings into the equation. Women feel scared to approach the idea of adoption. A child is seen more as a burden than a joy. Marriage is seen as a last resort and prison.

That’s the thing about truth, it’s supposed to make us uncomfortable, it’s a mirror that let’s us see all our warts.
I think people who are obsessed with make the truth palatable don’t really want it.

nicely stated. though the target of the gore is not post-abortives, they are the ones impacted most by it. thank you for your perspective.

Finally, someone who "gets it". One can be pro-life and still understand basic human nature. One can also be pro-life and love the children who are already born as well as those who are still in the womb.
