NY POST ^ | August 10, 2007 | CARL CAMPANILE

Posted on 08/10/2007 5:53:06 AM PDT by Liz

Giuliani claimed he was at Ground Zero "as often, if not more" than rescue workers. The statements enraged 9/11 families and responders. "That's insulting.....He's a liar, he's living in a dreamland," said Fire Capt. James Riches....Riches' fire officers association is opposing Giuliani.

Maybe Capt. Riches just didn't recognize Julie-Annie? After all, the Mayor might have been visiting Ground Zero wearing one of his many cross-dressing outfits.

He didn’t relinquish his job as mayor. He couldn’t have been there as often as he stated. What an idiot/liar.

A load of crap.

Really?

Which one...the fact that Rooty is a liar or the fact that the responders are calling him a liar?

The Fireman’s Union Hacks are Union Hacks first and Firemen second. They want us to think of them as heros, when in reality they are just using their respected status to do the regular union hack political hatchet jobs.

For Giuliani to make a statement as if he was there more than the rescuers seals the deal for me. Even if he does make it thru the primary he will not have my support.

Being at Ground Zero for a photo op does not equal being there to actually work and dig thru the rubble.

Rudy is a good man. And while he may not be the best GOP option, he is far better than anyone who will be nominated by the Democrats. On the war on terror, which is the issue of our time, no one is better. On abortion, he’s pretty much adopted the Clinton position, which is one reason he’s not my top choice.

The fact that the 9/11 families are the same ones who supported dems in 04 and that fireman union leader thugs support dems. Criticize Rudy by all means but be honest about who some of these detractors are.

When you compare yourself to hero responders you’re just asking for trouble. What a nitwit.

Rudy is a good man.

I suppose so...for a RINO that wants to seize my guns, raise my taxes, allow unconditional abortion-on-demand, etc, etc.

And while he may not be the best GOP option...

Then we should be supporting the best GOP option, instead of even thinking of nominating a liberal in disguise.

...he is far better than anyone who will be nominated by the Democrats.

I don't give a damn who the dimocrat nominee is...they will not get my vote...even if Rooty turns out to be the GOP nominee.

Sheesh, this is well traveled road.

It has ruts in it.

Rooty is not a conservative, he is for gun control, for abortion, for higher taxes, for just about any liberal, so-called "progressive" crap that the idiots out of NYC can come up with, not to mention the idiots in DC.

I will work to nominate a trained ape, before I will even consider working for the nomination of Rooty.

And I think the overwhelming majority of persons that frequent and support this forum have rejected Rooty and made it clear that he is not the man.

Rudy is a good man.

That depends on what the meaning of "is" is.

I just heard Rudy say yesterday that he supports the ban on PBA and parental notification laws, so you are wrong about unconditional abortion on demand. He lowered taxes in NYC. He also says that he supports the RKBA. I believe him. You don’t.

As I said, he is not my first choice, but I am able to recognize the good in him. Why is it so hard for others to do that?

...but I am able to recognize the good in him.

I cannot.

Shall we just agree to disagree?

As I said, this road is well traveled.

Some of the ruts are so deep, we may well fall into one and never get out.

****Rudy is a good man.****

Exsqueeze me?
He's a horn dog with no morals. He literally abandoned his family for a piece of ___. He has a worse record than Willard in keeping his pants on. Not to mention he was a DRAFT DODGER (oops I just did, oh well).

He is scum.

**** On the war on terror, which is the issue of our time, no one is better. ****

WTF?!? That's plain stoo-pid. He's has zero expedience on the WOT. Wait, I take that back - his expanded Sanctuary City policy allowed the TERRORISTS at that Brooklyn Mosque to operate openly and freely.

Annnd per Rooty Tooty one way he'd fight the WOT is through ... "Commerce" (Google is your friend). Yep, Commerce will bring down the bad guys, that's what Rooty thinks. We'll just sell them blankets, beads and Whiskey like we did with the Apache, Arapaho Sioux and other 'Hostiles' and all will be a-okay.

Rooty is a moron.

Check this out, Tom Cruise detoxing folks through Scientology, no kidding, it's working, Go Tom, modern medicine is a sham and he is "right on" ...

The New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Program, co-founded by actor Tom Cruise and using a method developed by L. Ron Hubbard, was having success treating 9/11 rescue workers with medical conditions such as Jodi’s.

“I was highly skeptical of the place,” Lee Bettis wrote. “I did not even tell Jodi about the center for a week or two. As she got worse, I finally mentioned the center to one of the partners in my law firm, and she basically said that we had nothing to lose. So that’s what we did. … I had very low expectations.”

Those expectations would quickly change.

I’m fascinated by how many Freepers are willing to believe Dem propaganda. Maybe the firefighters will attack Thompson next.

That's because OldSmaj has actually looked at Rudy's record.

Rudy is now pretending that he's opposed to things he championed as Mayor. He is either lying now or he was dishonest then. Either way, he reveals himself to have no core principals.

He is not a "good man" - he is a statist who cannot be trusted with any authority.

The only thing more disgraceful than this man is the GOP's tacit approval of his policies, in allowing him to seek the nomination.
