These ‘”scientists” obviously haven’t gotten the news that 1998 was NOT the hottest on record. NASA has just revised their figures due to a person pointing out they madea mistake in their calculations. Now 1934 is officially the hottest on record and FOUR of the TEN hottest years were in the 30’s...http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1878850/posts

Well that all depends who wins. If the commiecrats win then we will not hear about it or it will be proclaimed that we’re well on our way to recovery. (think how the homelss problem completely vanished during the 8 yrs of Clinton) If a Republican wins I think we will non-stop doomsday propoganda daily. And you can count on news alerts and breaking news everytime it rains, snows, floods hurricaines, tornados, dry, wet, hot, cold, you name it, it will be the fault of the President and the evil corporations that he is beholden to.

... made a computer model ...

Making computer models is fun. Wall Street is littered with the pathetic remains of those who thought they had a good model of stock market fluctuations.

It reminds me of a bit from Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part I, Act III:

GLENDOWER
I can call spirits from the vasty deep.

HOTSPUR
Why, so can I, or so can any man;
But will they come when you do call for them?

I can make a computer model, or so can anyone, but does it bear any correspondence to reality? There's the rub!

If this prediction came from a US source, it would have been roundly derided as an obvious lie, designed to preserve the Global Warming swindle through the US election cycle. It is a measure of the importance of the US in the World that the report is no more credible coming from a foreign source.

The election of a US President is more important to the people of the UK than the election of their own Parliament and Prime Minister.

Climate experts have long predicted a general warming trend over the 21st century spurred by the greenhouse effect, but this new study gets more specific about what is likely to happen in the decade that started in 2005.

Are these the same scientests that predicted the worst hurricane season ever in 2006 - because Bush was President?

Any guesses on the spin machine response when they are (AGAIN) proven to be wrong?

These guys have really drunk the Kool-Aid, jumped the shark, whatever metaphor you want. It’s not possible to forecast the weather one year out, much less ten. Unless you’re an Algoreian true believer, that is.

NASA did not recant, they were exposed involuntarily.

(next we find out they put the sensors inside ovens for protection)

Of course the left has a perfect way to change the climate, increase taxes and outlaw private property. That mere paperwork will instantly make climate change go away and the climate will never change again.

Sure.

If the temperature rises as they claim they will say it is because we, as a nation, failed to act. If the temperature doesn't rise as they claim they will say it is only because we acted it time and need to continue to act.

Their asses are covered.

Any theory can appear to explain anything given enough parameters.

A flying phalanx of climate “experts”, and “objective” high priests of science can study, model, theorize, Powerpoint, pontificate and publish on the Global Warming hoax for decades.

Good old reliable common sense says it is a steaming pile of Socialist manure.

I guarantee it.

Well at least they are on record with a specific prediction, if less than two of the 5 years following 2009 are not as hot as 1998 we will know what they can do with their models and predictions. Although some of us arn’t willing to wait until 2014 to call them charlatans. They certainly arn’t waiting for their predictions to be borne out before moving forward their agenda to destroy Capitalism....ERRRRR I mean protect the earth! ;)

It will be like how homelessness all of a sudden became an issue again when W became President. Prez Hillary would usher in global warming all of the time

With The Return Of A Conservative President …

MEDIA REDISCOVER HOMELESSNESS

"ABC News Has Signaled The Networks Will Continue To Push An Anti-Conservative Agenda During The Bush Years"

ALEXANDRIA, Va. --- During the more conservative Reagan and Bush presidencies through the '80s and early '90s the media played up the issue of homelessness and blamed those administrations for the problem. Then, during the liberal Clinton presidency, the media pushed the issue to the back burner. Now with the return of a conservative president, barely three weeks into President George W. Bush's new administration, the media are trying to make homelessness a top issue once again. ABC News ran the first story earlier this week after eight years of a homeless hiatus. Below are contrasted the number of network news homeless stories run during the first Bush Administration and the Clinton Administration.

Bush Administration Homeless Stories
(Total for 4 years: 212 stories)

Clinton Administration Homeless Stories
(Total for 8 years: 132 stories)

"The numbers clearly demonstrate the networks have a definite anti-conservative agenda in pushing the homeless story. ABC News has signaled the networks will continue to push this anti-conservative agenda during the Bush years," said Media Research Center President Brent Bozell.

Al Gore isn’t making enough money fast enough. At first he said we have ten years. That meant, he had to make his money on carbon credits within five years. Now, since people are figuring this out, they come out with 2009. He wants his money now.

It’s too late to worry about it, we are all gonna die.
So tonight I’m gonna party like it’s 2009.

What’s even more entertaining - is that 1998 was reported today not to have been THAT hot, but rather 1934 was the real brightspot.

HeHe...
