Yeah, me neither. And, her house was located at nearly 12,000'. We used to drive right past it on the way to launch. Tough to breath up there and dang hard to get to. The running joke in the hang gliding community was that if you survived the truck ride up to Gold Hill, the flight down was nothing. That's how bad the road was in the summer. I found that to pretty much be true on most days. Winter access would mean access only by snomobile, snowcat or the ski lift.
I heard a couple of months ago from a long-time Telluride resident that she sold her house up on Gold Hill about a year ago, but they still don't let us fly there anymore......:(
