People like this think everyone else is like this. They are distanced from the real world.
The denial of consequences for behavior and choices is CORE to "liberalism" - everything about their ideology centers around this core belief. Any consequences that DO occur, since all behaviors are equal and should have equal outcomes, MUST be due to discrimination. That's why gravity, weather, and economics are inherently discriminatory.
