This is just one more example of people making decisions without knowing who their customers are...

I had not thought about this concept recently, but looking back, I have been to many places in my life, but if the politics of the owner, or the town shows (liberal or conservative), one visit is all they get.

Politics and business should never mix in public.

Ask me if I ever had Ben and Jerry's. Even once.

Well sure! If your tax base depends on tourism...

But business owners make stupid mistakes all the time and never learn from them. Even non political mistakes.

For instance, if your business caters to the 20-30s crowd, why waste money advertising grandma and grandpa? When I see obviously targeted product being advertised in a shotgun fashion to reach EVERYONE -- it simply tells me the business owner has NO CLUE who his customers are...
