Just happened. Not up on USGS yet. Probably about a 5.0
LOL! Meow! During the 94 quake I was holding on to both sides of my bed so I wouldn’t get tossed out.
Tonight, just as I began wondering if this was going to be a big one, it stopped.
You are right. Culver City too.
Regards
Cheers! Thanks. Yeah I got a pool, a motorcycle, a couple of guns and some bags of beans, rice and tuna. My crank radio broke after Y2K :-)
Stay safe yourself.
This one felt more like a 5.0 to me but then the epicenter is very close by. At that it was a rough bumpy ride.
Earthquake Ping List. If you would like to have your name removed from this list, please FReepmail me.
Cindy is from earthquake country.
Totally understand.
Crank radio! Thanks for the reminder. I have one of those somewhere around here.
Oh I wish had a motorcycle. You’ll be able to maneuver around the inevitable traffic jams during a big one.
Shows tally of people that felt it by area and intesity they report.
Best website for viewing quake data. Just click on the map when you get there, then click on the square that shows the quake.

Amaretto will work. Slip-on shoes nearby or on your feet is good in case of broken glass. Flashlight - I have the batteries and have to think about the flashlight. This is a wake-up call for prep. During the 94 quake my flashlight went flying.
Thanks Cindy. I should laugh but I’m still a bit rattled. I have been through larger magnitude quakes and was able to get over it faster.
This one felt different.
Thanks for posting this map, Karl. It will be handy to keep us updated.
Slide baby slide.
Another small aftershock just a couple of minutes ago...
Great, thanks for posting the map of where the earthquake was felt. That helps greatly!
A 7.2 quake in Jakarta region. And all around the Pacific Rim there have been a series of 5.0 range quakes. I watch the maps usually every day and it seems to me an increased amount of activity.
Certainly a 7.2 quake is a biggie. Hope we don’t have that here.
I heard it on local news, KNX AM 1070 but didn’t feel it. Did you feel the quake or the little after shock?
See posts 26 and 52.
The aftershock was 1.6. Same epicenter.
Nothing on the Drudge Report about this quake yet. Usually, his website has immediate headlines about quakes, and would post a cataclysmic headline about the tiniest jolt.
Hopefully, they will stay in that range. One Northridge quake was plenty for me.
