In a special session at the YearlyKos convention, Hillary Clinton praised left-wing bloggers and promised she would provide universal internet access, full benefits for same-sex couples and pre-kindergarten that caters to children who don’t speak English if elected President.

She began by telling bloggers a secret: “Don’t tell anybody, but I actually read blogs.”

“Don’t share that,” she warned. “And, I find myself, you know, sometimes saying, ‘Oh, c’mon’ and sometimes saying ‘Oh, you know that’s a really good point’ and trying to figure out how to work that into an argument I am making or legislation I am drafting.”

Right. Well, if she ever read any of this stuff, she would dig a hole and climb in it, out of sheer shame if nothing else.

Bill clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act, having been backed against the wall by congress and public opinion. Now hillary promises taxpayer funding for perverts.

One questioner asked Clinton if she would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act, signed by her husband in 1996. Clinton said she was “one of the architects of that strategy” and that “I support civil unions and have said many times with full equality and benefits.”

The Repubs have to get all over her on this, when the time comes.

She on one hand, was hands on, detail oriented "architect" yet on the other hand, she can't remember spit about billing records, campaign contributions etc... has no clue about who Bill was/is doing

she is either the smartest woman in the world and abetted bad behavior or she is dumber than a box of rocks who can't remember squat...

in either case, do you want this person as president ?

Well, seeing as how she never had a first name until the age of 6, (and we all know how that affects an ability to tell the truth), at least this lie isn't verifiable!

I tried to find the text of the Defense of Marriage Act on-line but didn’t find it. I am confused about the “part 3” of the act she wants to repeal. I thought the Defense of Marriage Act defines marriage for federal purposes and then also exempts states from having to recognize homosexual marriages from other states. Is there a 3rd section that somehow enforces these provisions, or prohibits any other legal arrangements between same-sex couples?

How funny to hear her say she was an architect of that law. True liberals such as Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, and Nancy Pelosi all voted against it, because they didn’t want to define marriage in federal law as 1 man 1 woman. They wanted to leave it undefined to pave the way for court cases overturning marriage laws.
