When you're dealing with a slippery murderer who is trying to operate right around the edges of the law, you had BETTER pay attention to detail and what you are pleased to call "court technicalities". Or you'll lose him. That may satisfy your righteousness, but it won't get the worm off the streets and out of the clinic.
