A Detroit-area newspaper says the results of Tuesday's primary could lead to Hamtramck, Michigan, becoming the first city council in the U.S. to be controlled by Muslims.
The Detroit News says there are four Muslims in the Tuesday primary. If they are among the candidates who win and go on to run in the November election, they would have a chance to join a fifth Muslim who already sits on the six-member council and is up for re-election in 2009.
Hamtramck -- historically a refuge for Catholic immigrants mostly from Poland and Ukraine -- was at the center of a controversy three years ago over an initiative allowing amplified calls to prayer from the city's mosques.

It appears that bigotry isn't confined to democrats......yea, yea, you gave your disclaimer.
LOL! Don't forget ignorant too.......
I already have. Not for the reasons you state but rather for reasons you wouldn't understand.......
The day will come when the term, “lock and load” will become a reality.
If you referring to the muslims in Dearborn or Hamtramck or out by me in Macomb County then I have to answer no. But then again I am open to any additional information that you may provide.......
So tell me Bruinator, which of the following Muslim groups are taking over in Hamtramck and which ones have been prominent in Dearborn for years?:
Sunni, Shia, Karizis, druze, Alawi, Ismali, Ahmadiyyah, Sufi or Wahhabi?
Is there any particular sect that you fear and loathe or do you just hate muslims in general?
Really. Interesting since I doubt you know every Muslim in your vicinity. At any rate, I don't know why you would have to say no, since their very religion advocates lying to and domination of infidels.
When people tell me that they will lie to me to gain my trust...well, that’s about the time I stop believing anything they have to say.
I don’t hate anyone “in general.” IF you can’t see that Islam is a hate driven religion, then I can’t help you out there.
