Mc Hammer Returns With Pro-WOT/Troops Video (With A Twist)
YouTube ^ | 8-6-2007

Yes, the same Mc Hammer (Can't Touch This)...has just released a new video and song called Bring Them Home. But it's not what you think it would be with a title like that.

A very pro-WOT, Pro-War In Iraq, Pro-Bush message...just a different perspective coming from a man who is voicing his respect for President Bush and our troops.

Check it out...

Al-Qaeda is, right now the accelerant in Iraq. They are behind 85% of the suicide attacks. Stop al-Qaeda and you have a very good chance of getting your hands around most of the problems in Iraq (assuming you don’t pull out troops that is).

It’s not Al-Queada causing US problems in Iraq

Right. It's al Qaeda.

And there is no civil war. There was never a civil war. Turn off the nightly news and pay closer attention.

I just noticed you were new here. There is a lot of misinformation on the Internet, and a lot of politician, for their own reasons, are not giving out what is really happening in Iraq. Slowly, that is changing, but it is taking time.

Stay here and read the posts on Iraq and you will be able to get a glimmer of the real story, with sources cited.

The short story is:

- Al-Qaeda is the accelerant to violence in Iraq (as I said before, approx 85% of all suicide bombers are al-Qaeda). Al-Qaeda is a foreign lead and foreign funded opperation in Iraq.
- Iran funds, arms and trains the Shiite militias who also are a cause of violence in Iraq.

Iraq is a very complex place, but it is not unwinable.

I see different takes on this video. Yes, I understood everything he said. I also think it was tastefully done. I also see him saying that we can’t keep our troops over there forever. I realize we can’t set a date to “Bring em home”, but it has to be considered. I don’t like Rap, but I do like this. Everyone, if they want to, can speak from the heart and I thing this guy is doing that. He doesn’t say when to bring them home but there must be a plan to get our young people out of there. It’s worth thinking about.

A lot of the suicide bombers come in through Saudi Arabia.

They need to build a wall along the Saudi-Iraqi border.

Didn’t this guy die after his stint on Surreal Life?

Wow... there was a time people just faded away....

I disagree with the message, but I do think it’s well done and understandable. Most of the anti-war movement is anti-American as well. I can tell he cares about the country, he is just misguided. There are a lot of theo-cons that are against the war. I completely disagree and I think we are going to win, but boy has this war been a tad bit mismanaged in the past. I think we have learned from our mistakes and we are doing a lot better. I think the surge is starting to turn things around.

Victory will be ours!

Very well done; however, a very mixed message. How about “Let’s get it Done?”

Hell, I was just shocked to see something semi-positive coming from a rap artist from Cali about the war, the president, and our troops. I will take what we can get on that level.

At least he isn’t like the scumbag Kanye West.

It was respectfully done, but the wrong conclusion just the same.

If peace could be had unilaterally, we would always be at peace. The problem is that it only takes one party to make war. It takes all parties to have peace.

We will far fewer Jihadist attacks on our soil if we see this through. If we come home prematurely, far more Americans will die. Battles and wars are painful and costly investments for peace. Let's keep it that way.

An amazing thing about our military surge (about one month old) is that while we have stepped up the military pace, OUR casualties have gone down. Al Qaeda in Iraq is on the run. Let's keep it that way.

I recall MC Hammer did an (unintentionally) amusing video right after 9-11. It featured congressional stall awkwardly dancing/rapping on the Capitol steps... In their suits and ties...
