I would have booed. If anyone is taking illegal drugs to enhance their performance, their records should not be allowed to be printed.
Chalk me up with the Boo Brigade.

Someone is just TRYING to stir up trouble here...
Applauded. Because sports are just bread and circuses. People should be paying attention to what the government does, not what Barry Bonds is injecting into his muscle.
Well, he blames all his troubles on others and never takes responsibility for his actions, so......
Barry Who?
Yes, I would have booed. Then again, I boo ALL SPORTS. The so-called “professional” sports is the opiate of the masses and a true waste of time, money and brainpower. Imagine how sad it is that some yutz can tell you season upon season of statistics of his favorite, fetid sports team yet hasn’t a clue who his representatives are in Congress! Imagine that they can tell you how many times some drug addict got a stupid home run but they don’t know who the Vice President is!
Sports is a crime.
I would have sat on my hands.
I’m a San Diego resident and a Padres fan and I’m pretty damn ashamed of my fellow fans. What were so many of them thinking when they cheered on a cheater... on the other team, no less? I would have booed. Looks like more Padres fans would rather witness a record being tainted than witness their team winning. Pathetic. Screw Barry Bonds.

Fart in his general direction: 1
It's just entertainment. Many fans of other entertainment media (music, cinema, television, etc.) also know far more about their particular diversions than they do about civics/history/etc., but that doesn't make those diversions crimes. ....and neither is sports. It's just that some place undue importance on it.
Not because he took steroids, and not because he cheated. He is just a pompous oaf. I was not born a Dodger fan, but when I saw the way he taunted the Dodgers after he broke their hearts one season, he deserves silence. There have been other nasty rotten eggs in baseball and he is just one more.
Were they illegal at the time he was probably taking them? Their use is endemic in football, from grade school up. Interesting to see Michael Irving inducted into the Football Hall of fame despite his proven use of undoubtedly illgeal drugs. Why one standard for football and another for baseball?
