Video: Mitt on Mormonism — unplugged
Hot Air ^ | 8/5/07

Find out what happens when social cons stop being polite and start getting real. Barnett has background; the magic begins when the headphones come off, but there’s an early detour through crackpotville when the host urges Mitt in the event that he’s elected to invite the Supreme Court to step outside.

The advantage of secularism is while you might not get to force other people to follow your beliefs, other people can’t force you to follow theirs.

LOL. Stalin and Mao were secular leaders.

The real zeal you are afraid of actually flows less from fundamental Christians and Jews, and more from fundamentalist humanists, who want to tell you how much fat you can buy at McDonald’s, what kind of car you can drive to save their version of Mother Earth, how much of your own money you get to keep in order to fuel their social agenda. You’ve never seen fundamental extremism until you see secular extremism. Ask Solzhenitsyn.

Nice Christian response.

Christ called his enemies hypocrites and vipers, but, then you would know that, wouldn't you, since you claim to know Christianity well enough to apply the adjective, or not, where you see fit?

What I'm sick of--frankly--are "conservatives" who compare the Judeo-Christian legal framework to the Taliban or to the toothless half-wits of Iranian Islam. That is a sweeping insult so shallow it deserves to be called what it is--idiocy.

I’m sorry, when did the secular humanists force you to marry a fag and have an abortion? I hope you recover from that trauma soon.

If there’s anything I can do to help please let me know.

Athiests see everything clearly, except that their creed produces monsters and monstrous systems with monotonous regularity.

I think his slickness is because today we are not used to seeing these scrubbed appropriately-dressed people and if we do they are corrupt or slick. I think he is refreshing and perfect to follow Bush’s moral image in the White House. I sure hope it doesn’t become the Whore House (WH). Mitt’s father was a good and respected politician also. That being said, I have not decided who I will vote for but I do like Romney.

Listen, Skippy, I'm not sure where you've been, but the Boy Scouts of America can barely meet on public school grounds these days--all because they refuse to have sodomite troop leaders. Anne Coulter can't opine what every thinks about John Edwards without enduring a credibility-lashing, and, if you have a daughter in public school these days, she can be escorted to an abortion clinic without your knowledge.

Perhaps you know some religious fundamentalists with similarly extravagant power?

This is the second video in two days in which someone tried to sandbag him. He has come out of it extremely well.

If this host was as forthright in his convictions as he postures, he should have been honest and upfront about about the camera.

Put me down as a brand new Romney supporter.

Well,
1) Our Government isn’t forcing them to accept sodomite leaders. They are a private organization and they can do whatever they want. But if the community says “If you want to use the public school resources, you have to follow community policy.” The Boy Scouts choose to not follow the community policy, therefore they refuse to use the community resources.

2) Ann Coulter is still appearing on TV, she’s still writing books, she’s still saying whatever she wants to say. And a bunch of other people who disagree with what she says goes on TV writes books and says whatever they want to say. And then a bunch of other people who disagree with what they say about Ann go on TV write books and say whatever they want to say. Coulter’s credibility has not been damaged, the people who have hated her from day one still hate her and we who have loved her from day one still love her.

3) Are they actually picking up your daughter, forcing her to have sex with a man, waiting the three months so they are sure she’s pregnant then forcing her to have an abortion? If they are then I’ll help you out once again (heck, I’ll extend my help to any freeper who’s children are being treated this way by the government). But if your daughter is having sex of her own free will, doesn’t trust her parents when the inevitable comes and has bus fare and enough money for an abortion, having somebody walk her to the clinic is the least of your problems.

Mormonism is a C U L T and he is a CULT MEMBER in good standing, that is all America needs to know.

Mormonism is a cult like the Boy Scouts are a training organization for terrorists.

And if Mormonism is a cult, then Jesus Christ is a cult leader.

Let's see how many crazy, misguided and dangerous Mormon cultists you might know. Let's see there are several U.S. Senators, several Governors, several Congressmen, a host of CEO's, hundreds of scientists, attorneys, doctors, sports stars, entertainers, and thousands of soldiers, fighter pilots, Navy sailors (along with several Generals), college professors, CIA agents, Secret Service and FBI agents, and even more plain old decent fathers and mothers raising wonderful kids. Yup, by their fruits you shall know them. And what is their gross sin...? Why they believe as did Peter that Christ is the Son of the LIVING God.

If only they believed in a God without body, parts and passions, who fills the universe and dwells in each heart, like that old imperial stalwart of righteous dictatorship, Constantine. But to believe that God actually lives and loves his children enough to visit the earth with his beloved Son and call a living prophet and restore all of priesthood powers to the earth! How can any rational, bible loving, person believe anything but that they must be evil cultists?

Your hyperbole is typical of the current approach to shame those opposed to the heresies in Mormonism by playing the over-the-top absurdity for ridicule. Mormonism is founded upon the claim that Mormon baptism, in life or by proxy for the dead is required to complete one’s Salvation, because—so this cult’s premises claim—the authority to baptised and thus complete Salvation was lost when the last apostle died, so God used Smith the adulterous conman to restore the apostolic authority to humankind ‘in these latter days.’ Spin and ridicule to your heart’s content, the truth about this cult will still get aired before we nominate Mitt to our lasting defeat.

“Why they believe as did Peter that Christ is the Son of the LIVING God.” So do the demons bound for Hell. That doesn’t bring Salvation to just believe whom Jesus is. Trusting the very God of Creation to transform you because of what Jesus did on the Cross and God confirmed by raising Him from the dead, THAT is where Salvation runs all over mere belief in whom Jesus is. The demons don’t just believe He is The Christ, they know it, yet they will not bow to His Saving them. ‘Faithing’ you are Saved, not of ritual works lest anyman should boast.

Mitt’s dad was decent here. All this hoo-ha regarding Mitt’s faith is bunk. We’ve had everything as Presidents elected in the US from other faiths - including rapists. As long as you are not an Islamofascist (IMHO), you can throw your hat in the ring and give it a shot.

So, if Mitt is the nominee are you going to vote for that Christian, Hillary? Or are you just going to sit home on your sorry butt?

I will not sit home [or on my butt, though I use two canes to motor around], and will vote for conservative candidates all across the board of the election. HOWEVER, the Rodham-rodent is an absolute no vote. I am praying the Mittster is not the nominee because I believe the leftist with media complicity will so expose the absurdities of Mormonism that too many conservatives will stay away from the polls. Being politically active, I have already settled on the argument I will use in media to try and persuade folks to vote even if Mitt is the nominee.

Let me get this straight. You’re going to do everything possible to see that Mitt is not the nominee because he is a Mormon, but if he is the nominee you’re going to try and persuade people to vote for him anyway, despite believing that he is a heretic cultist?
