The Talk Shows
Sunday, August 5th, 2007
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice; Rep. Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Republican presidential candidates Sam Brownback, Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, Duncan Hunter, John McCain, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Tom Tancredo and Tommy Thompson debate.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Defense Secretary Robert Gates; Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich.; Afghan President Hamid Karzai; former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
Timmy is using everything he can to nail down that no political progress in Iraq means we get out.
Gates isn’t buying it and focuses on the turn at the local level. Big change in circumstances means he would not necessarily have gone along with some of the Surrender Group’s conclusions.
Timmy says wouldn’t the President have brought us together by adopting the recommendations?
Gates says he did a lot of them. But he’s not going to outsource foreign policy to a group of outsiders.
Gates, happily, is NOT bailing on us.
The same can be said about Timmy
Gates is extremely blunt about not liking the Iraqi month off. Says we buy every day of it with American blood.
Timmy is trying very hard to get a timetable for withdrawal. He is relentless.
About Plame? Is that why Campbell Brown refused to renew her contract & went to CNN?
Check this out from WaPo:
Timmy moves to the Clinton/DOD dustup.
How dare we question Hillary!
Gates supports Edelman as talented and professional. He agress with the VP that we’re not going to share contingency planning, the plans change all the time and besides they are leaked.
He agrees with the VP entirely. This will make Timmy very upset.
Sounds like Gates is handling himself very well. I’m recording MTP and Steffy while watching FNS.
Condi is not letting Chris W interrupt her at will. She is doing a pretty good job. Chris W is looking more and more like Timmy and his “gotcha” type questions.
He and FOX need to stop ignoring the obvious and turn this Sunday show over to Brit. If not, FNS may be heading for the same place as the infamous Crossfire. OTD! (out the door)
Chris just asked and wants to know how important the wiretap intelligence is
timmy is sooo out of his league with Gates.
What is this...”Gates is not on for the whole hour??”
Oh NOOOO...Here comes the LIb panel. UGH.
What a rip!!!
###### MSM! - See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Report No Evil! If a reporter or stringer is injured in Iraq, it 'll be breaking news all over the media. Meanwhile, an editor of a newspaper murdered in broad daylight and the Broadcast Networks Ignore completely because, he was investigating about "Black Muslim Bakery" in California.
###### Impeach the NYTimes? -> Bush Derangement Syndrome finally got to the editorial board of the NYTimes. NYTimes thinks of itself as the most powerful newspaper in the country. It is rather odd that it opposes executing cop killers but supports killing stroke victims. (Very Good Read.)
###### Rest in Peace! -> AP's 'Asap' Service 2-year-old premium multimedia service, as it had failed to gain enough traction.
###### Nobody watches Discovery! So, it goes tree-hugging -> Discovery to Acquire Treehugger.com paying $10 million.
###### Sirius Counts Unsold Cars as Subscribers. About 10% of Sirius Satellite Radio's 7.1 million subscribers are unsold cars on the lots of auto dealers, the company says. Easy way for Fake Ratings.
###### CNN's 5-Minute Infomercial for Left-Wing Hack Max Blumenthal, son of Clinton spin doctor Sidney Blumenthal.
###### CBS Profit Nearly Halved! -> CBS's second-quarter profit fell 48%.
###### Hypocrite 101! Washington Post says Wall Street Journal (3xWash.Post circ) writes "vitriolic right-wing attack editorials", and then send it's Reporter-friends to Speak @ nutroot koscon-vention.
###### Washington Post 2Q Earnings Fall -> 13 Percent as declining revenue from its flagship paper. Cause & Effect of Shameful Gotcha Journalism.
###### NBC Telemundo ethics dictionary -> 2 Months suspension for adultery in job. N I C E.
###### Fake, but accurate! Lies, Lies & Lies @ Reuters & MSM networks. Apology, Accountability, Investigations? No, they want federal shield, no questioning authority.
###### Gas from NYTimes' Greenhouse -> ie., NYTimes "Journalist". Yeah, she pretends to be a journalist and attends Planned parenthood meetngs.
###### MSM begging Clemency -> for Terrorist!
###### Somebody educate the Media -> Was Bush President in 1998?
###### AP Absurdly Pessimistic About "Lowest U.S. death Toll in Iraq".

Misjudgements made on what? His Sunday Show guest selections the past few years?

bump
This is one reason I have no qualms whatsoever about calling people who start this shi____ traitors in every sense of the word.
We have brave volunteer troops in harms way carrying 60 lb. packs on their back in 130 degree heat. The least they can expect is not to be sold out by the DBM until the mission is over. The heads of the DBM should be held responsible for jeopardizing the lives of our troops with constant harping about when we will get out, its nothing less than traitorous.
This MTP panel is just awful.
I rest my case....
