A great FReeper and close friend passed. Twit, also known as Timothy Wheeler passed on. In tribute, I would like to make this the August thread of Terri Dailies, the topic foremost in Twit thoughts.
Tim was a man of great faith, a faith that grew stronger especially in recent months. As I type this, I still am not yet coherent, as I try to awaken and sip a good coffee brought to me recently by Tim. In his usual fashion, he probably figured I would appreciate a little care package and would appreciate the better quality than the usual fare we would fix.
But I do not want this thread to be maudlin, nor a reminiscing on anecdotes, rather a stab at what Tim would want.
Twit was passionate about the beauty of nature, of good books, good music, and intellectual challenge, but mostly he was passionate about his love for our America, for Jim Robinsons FreeRepublic, and for our fight for those in the plight of Terri Schiavo. For the latter, he sought justice and fervently hoped and prayed we on Terris List would carry on this battle against the evils of those who would control who lived and died.
In our many talks, he would sound like a poster boy for all the stated position of Jim Robinson.
His wife told me last evening the final thoughts he had. As can be expected, it was for us to continue our fight as we have done already. She hoped that rather than flowers or donations sent, that donations be directed at causes like that supporting Terris Legacy, the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation. In this way, we remember him and further his wishes. Twit and I talked a lot about faith and I can reassure all, his faith in Our Lord was strong and growing stronger, a comfort to me that he carried it to the end.
My words come out with difficulty this morning, but should flow better later, although without the word play and banter we would sometimes engage, at least for now. Twit would be upset if I quit the puns for long, though.
We will continue our prayers for T'wit and his wife and family.

Thread from wagglebee...
Des Moines, IA (LifeNews.com) -- As he campaigns ahead of a critical statewide straw poll this week, pro-abortion ex-New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani is expected to confront the issue of abortion. The emphasis on overcoming objections pro-life Republican voters have about his pro-abortion position comes as one poll shows few GOPers know he backs abortion.

Des Moines, IA (LifeNews.com) -- During Sunday's Republican presidential debate, pro-abortion former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani was asked to defend his position on abortion. He did so by repeating a dubious claim about the supposed exponential growth of adoptions during his tenure as mayor of one of the most pro-abortion cities in the nation.
"I believe the best way we can have common ground in this debate that you're hearing is if we put our emphasis on reducing abortions and increasing the number of adoptions, which is something that I did as mayor of New York City," he claimed.
"But I think ultimately that decision that has to be made is one that government shouldn't make," Giuliani said, restating his pro-abortion views. "Ultimately, a woman should make that with her conscience and ultimately with her doctor."

Sacramento, CA (LifeNews.com) -- Backers of the bill that would have legalized assisted suicide in California fell short in June from having enough votes to advance the measure in the state Assembly. Now, as they and others look back on the latest defeat the power of the disability community to stop the bill is coming to light.
When lawmakers try to legalize assisted suicide, pro-life advocates and members of the medical community get involved to protect the elderly and disabled.

Oh my, how very sad, prayers for family and friends.
Thanks for the link to T’wit pictures :). Condolences to Christoper and the remainder of Tim’s children, family and friends.
Thank you for your thoughts. T’wit has a wonderful wife and large number of relatives in pain now, in need of these prayers.
I have not answered many of the other responses yet, as T’wit would have wanted me to do, hopefully will do so soon.
A big guy with big shoes... to fill.
Godspeed, T'wit.
May he rest in God’s arms now.

How old was he? I always thought he was a young man, younger than me. This is what is so shocking.
He died the way most of us would want. Very quickly.
He just celebrated his seventieth birthday last month. His wife had planned for many months a surprise party for him aboard a boat on the Hudson and invited family from around the globe. I was there, and took at least the pic (with his camera) of him with birthday cake in post #41 above.
Tim was certainly young in spirit and wit.
>>She was killed by a deliberate act - taking away what sustains life.
I call it murder. It gets tough for me to simply copy the terms softened by the MSM and the rank baloney of lies they repeat without rest. It keeps my adreneline flowing, though.
What I miss is that I would post the articles and T’wit would have a go at them minutes later and be sure none of those lies slipped through unnoticed.
He worked military intelligence during the height of the cold war. So you are right, he could detect DECEIT, but I bet he never thought he would have to do it right here in our own country years latter. I don't think any of us could've envisioned that prospect, but that is what we face.
I hate it when you realize that a freeper friend is gone and you don’t why what happened to them. I just realized that Howlin is not here anymore. Does anyone know why?
You have mail.
One step further. She was forbidden by the Greer court to take any nourishment by mouth. She may of very well of chosen to try to sustain herself by mouth. To deny that, by court order, is murder.
