Wow. The Democrats did the right thing. Maybe they actually do have an instinct for self-preservation.

If a U.S. resident becomes the chief target of surveillance, the government would have to obtain a warrant from the special FISA court. ping!

It’s time we get those bozos that some call “judges” out of the war on terror. If they want to participate, they can go down and see a recruiter like the rest of us. “Judges” sitting on their fat asses in their robes and wanting to control how this war is fought REALLY pisses me off!

"This bill would grant the attorney general the ability to wiretap anybody, any place, any time without court review, without any checks and balances," said Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif.,All you have to do is read the bill, or easier yet this article, to see that this woman was standing there lying through her teeth.

We need keep track of whom Al Qaeda is calling and where - so threats to our country can be neutralized quickly. When Congress gets back, the FISA law update changes should be made permanent.

Well it wasn’t that long ago there was a bunch of idiots here who were arguing with me that wire tapping was a violation of civil rights. It’s nice to see that some people including Congress get the fact that certain steps are necessary to safeguard our country !!!

Typical rat fraud. I was checking on how our PA reps voted. I was checking out the rat page of rep Holden who voted against the bill. I found that he described himself as a
Blue dog conservative rat. I reviewed six rep sites and everyone of the rats portrays themselves as patriotic conservative hero. This just reinforces my belief that an active coup is going on in this country.

The terms “eavesdropping” and “wiretapping,” endlessly repeated with pejorative intent, have served well to help sow distrust and to mislead as to what is being done and why it must be done.

I was talking with my progressive lib brother when we got some static on the line. He started shouting that the government was listening in on our conversation. It wasn’t really an angry shout. It was more of an “Aha!” shout.
I pointed out that since I live on a Military installation there is monitoring. I asked why anybody would listen in on him. Nobody really cared about anything he had to say.
After that he pouted.

So Hunter, Paul, and Tancredo decided that this vote was not that important to them.
Cuz...we all know that they are just $500.00 from becoming the front-runner.
For Shame!

And I do find it veryinteresting that the Speaker of the House actually cast a vote.
(Maybe she has in the past, and that would show my ignorance, but...)

Then why Mr. President do you advocate granting amnesty to illegal aliens who could very well be terrorists?

Good win for the conservatives and the President!
It proves that the conservative position on Nation Security is a winning one ALWAYS, even in a DUmmy Congress.
