It has not been an easy few months for Judith Giuliani. Her rollout to the public received rocky reviews from the political class, Republicans included. A series of negative articles about her shopping habits, marital past and supposedly testy relations with campaign staff followed. Her appearances alongside her husband, Rudolph W. Giuliani, grew suddenly scarce and some analysts suggested that she keep it that way.
So it was perhaps no surprise that at a recent lunch in downtown Manhattan, Mrs. Giuliani offered this self-assessment: When it comes to politics, Im new to this.
Over the course of a two-hour interview, Mrs. Giuliani, 53, talked for the first time about how she met Mr. Giuliani and about their first date. (He asked her out, she said.)

Im sure thats something that can get one into, you know She did not finish the thought, but allowed her hands to flutter cautiously before going on. But I try to remain me. And again, part of that is not doing anything more than I have to in terms of making myself in any way a distraction from what my husband is trying to do for America.
Not becoming a distraction to her husband, a front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination, appears to be an elusive goal.

...she cuts a figure that Mr. Giulianis aides say will appeal to Republican voters. Husband and wife agree that Laura Bush is a model for Mrs. Giuliani.
But Judith carries some distinctly un-Laura baggage. Like her husband, she has been married twice before. They also had a secret affair for a year before Mr. Giuliani announced it to the world and to his second wife, Donna Hanover at a news conference.

Are there any Rudy-boosters left here? Oh well, I can think of one or two, and maybe some folks who aren’t Rudy-boosters may have some interest.
Ping.
Oh I know there are many more things that will effectivly kill of Rudy's campaign, but this ones gonna be a doozy.
Dear Post-Neolithic,
Did she actually staple the dogs that were then euthanized? The article says that she worked for a company as a salesperson, and that the company did this.

“stapling of live dogs?”—I haven’t heard about this one. Can you elaborate?
I don’t care what she has to say.
I don’t want her morals and values that she shares with her husband as MY PRESIDENT.
Both of them are for abortion so why would stapling dogs be a considered shocking?
“I dont want her morals and values that she shares with her husband as MY PRESIDENT”
That sums it up!
while the dog-stapling thing is bad, having her child live with her and her lover between marriages one of the more appalling aspects of her personal history, in my opinion. no matter how she tries to model herself after laura bush, she can’t lay claim to any sort of morality.
While I know the NY Post isn't a great source it was the first I came upon, do a search for "judy giuliani dog stapling". Here is the NYP's story(also quoted Rudy's campaign manager).
DONNA HANOVER I CAN'T STAND YOU FOUL MOUTH, FOR DOING THAT FOUL PLAY!
Agreed, was just my way of pointing out how Rudy will lose the Conservative vote because of his liberal views, and the more liberal vote because of this dog fiasco.
i know, there are myriad ways she will turn people off and the campaign appears to be savvy enough to know it, and that’s why she has had a relatively lowprofile to date.
"A dead dog doesn't bleed," Hirsch said in a 1988 issue of Time magazine. "You need to have real blood-flow conditions, or you get a false sense of security."
Now there is a rationalization
I can’t help but feel if this was about Fred’s wife it would be considered a hit piece by the NY Slimes. This is a hit piece and some of you are celebrating it?

Rudy Giuliani has never been noted for his association with classy women or honest men......
