Chinas legal Christian churchesChina's legal churches are not true churches. Check it out yourself at Voice of the Martyrs and while you're there sign up for the free newsletter. It will change your life!
To: Former Fetus
Thank you, I already read Voice of the Martyr’s. That is why I specified “legal”. May God bless the real church in China and strengthen her.

The Onion’s satire is usually a lot more plausible than this. I thought it had to be some Onion wannabee.

I must need more caffeine because when I read this
Reincarnate lamas, known as tulkus, often lead religious communities and oversee the training of monks, giving them enormous influence over religious life in the Himalayan region.
the image if a Llama appeared in my mind. I pondered what type of training does a llama provide for the monks??? lol

preventing the re-incarnation of the 72-year-old monk without approval from Beijing.
If it was me, I'd try reincarnating in a "Buddhist protection program", kinda like the secret town in a "witness protection program" they have here......not even the Mafia can find ya.

Actually, the Vatican does that. There is at least one Chinese cardinal who has not been announced. I forget the Latin phrase for it it but it means, I think something like, “kept close to the heart.”
