Excavations of those Greenland communities found that due to temperatures dropping in that area, the communities failed after some period of success. The Inuits (Eskimos) who reached Greenland about the same time as the Europeans were better skilled to survive the cooling and now remain in south raising sheep AGAIN.

I thought Greenland communities failed because Admiral Byrd took their only source of iron? (knives, spear tips, etc.)
