We haven’t watched BOR for years.
Besides, with the internet, by the time the evening news shows are on, it’s old news. I like Rush, too, except he really pushes the limit of how many commercials you can squeeze into an hour. He’ll take a 5 minute commercial break, come back for two seconds, long enough to say “we’ll be right back.” 5 more minutes of commercials. I’m always surprised when I turn on his station and it’s actually him, not a commercial, or a guest host. But I still tune in.

I missed that one but I’m not surprised. O’Reilly, with his ratings and money, has been long out of touch with average America. He relies on opinion polls to tell him which way the wind of public sentiment is blowing and jumps on the side of the majority. He is a totally commercial product.
Very good! FR does so much for our troops. I can’t think of a single thing the BOR has done for them, other than get in the way. He claims to support a variety of conservative ideals that most Americans believe in, but while FReepers are carrying out the tasks that uphold those values, the BOR stands around in the way, sharing his mic with anyone he can find to tear down those values. Has he ever sent a care package to the troops? Has he ever stood outside Walter Reed, giving our wounded troops a show of gratitude? Has he ever contributed anything to the values he claims to uphold? FReepers carry out the tasks every day.

In fairness, I believe O'R probably has contributed to troop-support financially — I can't imagine not. I don't think he is a mean-spirited man. But I think he has gotten so overbusy doing a five-day tv show, a five-day radio show, authoring books and making appearances, that his "business model" is dragging down the quality of his content.
He should think about backing off this format and doing deep investigative specials or some other way to tackle fewer issues, so he really can stay on-target, such as his good work with judicial activism and pedophilia.

But he'd holler if someone looked at the YouTube video and accused him of saying those very same nasty things in public.

Bill O’Reilly is a loofah-loving liberal, adulterous husband (if only from “lusting in his heart” and making obscene phone calls), loud-mouthed, ignorant, lecherous (did you ever notice the look he gets on his face when interviewing madames and prostitutes?—I’d swear he was masturbating under his desk), faux-Catholic, filthy-minded (all those programs about adolescent sex) near-pervert.

The boycott of O’Reilly should include all our most repected FReepers absolutely refusing to go on his show to be ambushed.
He reminds me of that slimy creature Phil Donohue who used to invite prolifers on his talk show just to bash and abuse them publicly.

FOX is quickly becoming a caricature of itself.
Immigration is another ‘hot topic’ here on FR. It comes pretty close to hate as does some of the Bush bashing. But I call it ‘strongly dislike’ and not hate. There’s a difference between really hating what someone does and hating THEM.
I’ll say it (because I’m Irish):
O’Reilly is a mick, a harp, a donkey, a tinker. He wouldn’t know a lace curtain if his loofah was wrapped in it!
