It made me made too but I see a lot of good coming from the Factor also. I hate to keep using this old cliche but don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
O'Reilly's is badly damaging his own reputation. He reminds me of a brilliant alcoholic I knew.
Sometimes the man was charming and could deliver informative lectures. Other times he was combative and unable to tolerate listening to the opinions of those who disagreed with him.
People began to avoid him.
When are you coming to Humboldt to fish?
Not only is it disgusting that he did this and he is a U.S. Senator, worse yet, he wants to be President!
Thomas Dodd was the driving force behind the Gun Control Act of 1968. He was censured by the Senate in 1967 for using campaign funds for personal expenses. The censure left him extremely embittered that his friends in the Senate had not stood by him and it eventually cost him the seat.
He reportedly carried a pistol onto the Senate floor where he made a rambling, incoherent speech. Other Senators intervened and got the gun away from him and possibly spared the Senate a suicide -or murder- on the floor.
LOL. Chris Dodd is such a snivelling plastic puke. He had his talking points from the scum at Media Matters but how any of leftists think he just gave a good representation of the loony left on BOR is beyond me.
btw, whoever emailed BOR about 7,000 instances of the f-word on DailyKosFreaks is way low. I just googled the word for that site and got 27,500 hits - then I googled it with f and asterisks (which they also use frequently) got another 28,500 hits. Anyone who’s read some threads there know that vulgarity is constant and sadly amusing - they are like 12 years olds who just discovered the word, and many of them have to punctuate nearly every utterance with the word or variants with the asterisks, etc. They think they sound tough, edgy, cool..... when in fact they simply show yet again how leftists are typically simple-minded morons with foul mouths and brains.
“Other Senators intervened and got the gun away from him and possibly spared the Senate a suicide “
Fascinating
The only reason you saw it that way is because of your bias toward the person in question. I have to admit I only caught a moment of it because I had been watching Fox in the morning for the updates on the bridge collapse, and walked in on the last part of the interview where O’Reilly was throwing a temper tantrum because Dodd wasn’t backing down. At that point I changed the channel because, again, O’Reilly, is not allowed in my house now.
Here is the thing I was impressed with, the Democrat Senator, whether I agree with his politics or not, stood by his decisions.
Too bad our elected Republican officials can’t show the same backbone. Stand by your decisions and your principles, no matter the criticism you face, and you will find a stronger following. Waffle, your base waffles.
You may be right!
I guess you realize that that's exactly what BOR wants us to do?
Last night was the first time I watched BOR in months, and boy was I glad I did. He lit Dodd up like it was nobody’s business. Dodd more than deserved it, though: What a pompous gasbag.
Dodd was beyond pathetic, so obvious in his attempts to smooth himself up to the hard left nutbags by taking on OR, that he destroyed any iota of dignity he may have once had. How could this man respect himself?
Of course, Dennis Miller then came on and told BOR he was “disappointed” that BOR would even have a “hack” like Dodd on his show.
BTW, was it just my TV or did look as though Dennis Miller’s eyelids were tinged light blue?
Yeah, and I want to know what he is saying about us.
Thanks. It really seems to be the way he does things.
Bill O’Reilly who?
I understand. I'm sorry for not making my intention clear.
BTW, I think good spelling is highly overrated.
Best FReegards.
