What are the chances of a Hillary/Obama ticket?

What’s your opinion and what have you heard/read about the real potential of such a ticket?

My guess has always been that Hillary! will look at the electoral map and see what states she could win that weren't won by the 'Rats in 2000 and 2004, which have 'Rat governors, and could be relatively close based on the '00 and '04 totals.

Given that, there is one state that stands out like a sore thumb: Ohio. It went blue in the '06 elections and has a 'Rat governor. It went to Bush in '04 by a smaller margin than '00, so it is trending 'Rat by most measures. Flip OH to the 'Rats, and keep everything else Gore and Kerry won in the prior races, and Hillary! is in.

Another possibility might be VA, but the margins there for Bush in '00 and '04 were greater than in OH. So in a close race, tipping one crucial state to the 'Rats will do it. I think Hillary!, being the calculating schemer she is, will base her VP pick on that. In any case, it won't be Obama. He brings nothing to the table that she doesn't already have (e.g., the black vote).

Of course, come '08, if things then look like they do now, Hillary! won't have to worry about tipping a single state. It will probably be a 'Rat tsunami.
